Anyone who has seen my wardrobe is well aware of the copious amounts of op shopping treasures I have stashed behind my closet doors. I have been op shopping since I was 17 and to say it was an obsession would be a nice way to put it. There is something thrilling about scouring racks and racks of mismatched clothing to source out those once discarded pieces and give them new meaning. There is something timeless and unique about procuring vintage that it's a hobby/obsession I could never kick.
The floral on floral trend has been banging on for what seems like a life time and I am actually over my two piece matching floral suit from h&m. Never thought those words would ever slip through my mouth but they have, I can partly blame this feeling of disdain for the floral wonder thanks to some online stores ripping off the exact print of the h&m infamous floral print. When I say exact print I'm not referring to a slight similarity, the knock off pants I have seen flooding my instagram and facebook are flower to flower exactly the same. It's a moment I know many people have felt at some point in their wardrobe lifespan. So I'm taking solace in the safety of the vintage in my wardrobe and trying a new take on the double floral look. It was a bit much with the blouse and skirt, as daring as I wanted to be I resembled my grandmothers wallpaper. So I broke it up with this thrifted sweater and added a dash of gold with my favourite betsey johnson heels. The woman knows how to make a bold statement when it comes to shoes, love her.

I lovee op-shopping too. Its my time to escape and relax and just be creative! x danii
