Green Dot where: koenji st, koenji price range: mid This little shop is just off koenji st and is not hard to miss. You walk up the stairs to be invited by a devine origami blanket draped on the wall to turn left into a little attic like boutique with tiny vintage treasures scattered throughout the store. This was honestly my favourite store to visit, from the well thought out design of the room to the beautiful collection of handpicked american vintage that was reminiscent of the 70s and the virgin suicides. Small Change where: koenji st, koenji price range: mid This is the perfect vintage store for him and her. Downstairs is packed to the brim with vintage for the boys and just up the stairs you are pleasantly surprised to find a room bursting at the seams with vintage for her. There was a large selection of vintage at Small Change and the price was reasonable think $50+ for a dress. The shoe collection was by far the best I had seen in any vintage store in Tokyo, just a wall of colour and styles till your hearts content. Chiruru where: koenji st, koenji price range: mid This little vintage boutique is an eclectic mecca for vintage trinkets and treasures. There wasn't a great range of vintage clothing to choose from compared to the other vintage boutiques in the area, however Chiruru is a perfect little stopover for any vintage bits and pieces you may be interested in. This store is definitely worth a look and you will be pleasantly surprised to discover some hidden treasures inside. Under 700 where: koenji st, koemji price range: cheap If you looking for vintage on the cheap then you will be in love with this place. I picked up the most gorgeous Japanese vintage summer dress here for 700 Yen, and while it needs a good hem it was my favourite vintage buy during my stay in Japan. There is men and women's vintage clothing at this store, and you are not limited for choice either. There are plenty of vintage band tees, dresses, skirts and plaid shirts to choose from. Used clothing & second hand books where: koenji st, koenji price range: cheap If your looking to pick up a cheap authentic kimono whilst your in Japan then I highly suggest checking out this little store on Koenji St. Unfortunately I was unable to get the name for this amazing little second hand store but it isn't hard to miss. I picked up the cutest little vintage 50's skirt from this store for only 500 Yen, and a few mangas for my little brother. While it doesn't look like much on the outside this place is perfect to rummage through for Japanese vintage clothing and books. A breath of fresh air from all the american vintage that fills most used clothing stores in Japan.
